This item is going back and I'm ordering the standard high-density black foam roller. I rolled out on this for about 15 minutes and could already tell that I was going to end up with an hourglass shaped roller in a week or so. I have very tight IT bands and have to spend a lot of time on the roller; if you are a light user, this might work for you but if you're using it for any significant amount of time, go with the standard, slightly more expensive high density roller.

I've been using this for a couple of weeks and I am experiencing less pain, it is light but dense enough that I can really roll out the knots in my legs.

This roller dented in the middle the FIRST time I used it and I am 130lbs. It should be able to support more weight than that as I really bought it for my husband and my 6.5" brother uses one that is still in tact. My brother's tube is black and he tells me that the color has something to do with the density of the roller. The black ones are solid, these blue ones were too soft for me. it didn't FEEL soft, but the dent is the evidence.

Love it love it love it. Starting using it in connection with my massage therapy practice, recommend it to every client who wants to enhance their stretching, even use it on my back/spine! Highly effective, and definitely worth the tiny amount of space it takes up. Started using it with my Pilates exercises too.

If you're shopping for a foam roller, get this 18" length instead of 12". Much more versatile and easy to position your body on. This item is dense enough that it doesn't seem as though it's going to flatten in the middle like an hourglass, as the rollers at my gym have done.
