Heavy, Heavy, Heavy, but Adjustable Mar 23, 2007

While ten pounds on each wrist or ankle may not sound too extreme, any extended period of time with these weights on is going to fatigue just about anyone. Having said this, it should be noted that adjusting the amount of weight is a simple matter. Given the range of weight options, the overall appearance is somewhat large and bulky. If you are wearing these things, you really can't hide it. However, if you want to give a turbo shot to your daily walk or other activity, these things can't be beat.

Bulky and cumbersome Sep 14, 2007

I've been weight training for years and even do competitive stairclimbing. I bought these with the idea that I would use them to train for stairclimbing.
I'm not a small woman...5 feet 8 inches, 135 lbs, but these weights were almost impossible to keep on my ankles...they just don't seem to be made for an average woman's ankles.
I may pass these onto my husband who is 6 feet 2 and 220 lbs. I would not recommend these for an average sized woman.

NEEDED TO KNOW INFO< QUICK FIXES Sep 08, 2011
By Tim33 This product is an overall decent product, it gets the job done. But i suggest a few things to make them a little more comfortable. The product has 5 separate two pound sand bags encased in a thick enough plastic. In five separate slots on the weight sand bags slide in, then Velcro in. They are not as difficult to get in and out as others have said. all you have to do is get them flat put the bottom edge in, while holding vertical shake the weight in. As if you were shaking a pillow into a pillow case. Another suggestion i do have is that when you have them on the sand likes to fill the bottom of the plastic making them feel tight on the bottom and loose on the top. this is also easily corrected. Take the weights out then flatten on table to get sand even. Then through the middle, horizontally, tape a piece of electrical tape roughly one time around so it pinches both sides of the plastic inwards(Not too much or you'll make it difficult on yourself putting the weights back in the slots). Will make a shape somewhat like a bow tie. Now return the weight to its slot. the sand will now have less room to move while exercising, making a more comfortable snug fit.

Adjustable weights is great feature but hurts if worn snugly Jan 17, 2010
By E. Adams The ankle weights were a Christmas present for my daughter. She likes being able to adjust the amount of weight. The one con is that she has to wear them loose because the sandbags are firm and hurt her ankle bone if she tightens the straps. The price was great, and Amazon's free shipping for Christmas delivery was the best!!!

Totally disappointed Oct 17, 2009
By David Wier We got these weights for my wife. You can't adjust them tight enough around her ankles, so they slide up and down. There are no instructions at all, on how to use them, or anything
They're way too big (to wrap around the ankle) for a woman and they're too big even for me.
I can't imagine them being used on anyone's wrists
