Buffalo Sabres book Apr 18, 2006
By Eric Battle This is a great book for Buffalo Sabres fans. It was published the year that the Sabres took to the ice in their new home, Marine Midland Arena (now HSBC Arena). It takes a look back at memorable moments in the history of Memorial Auditorium, such as the 1975 Stanley Cup finals, the French Connection, and the life and death of Tim Horton. Reading through the pages of quotes from the players who wore the blue and gold Sabres colors, to the opponents who dressed up in the visiting dressing room of the Aud, to people in the media who covered the NHL, makes me remember the days where I used to sit in the lower red seats of the Memorial Auditorium and watch my hometown Buffalo Sabres play 40 games a season in one of the smallest, but loudest arenas back then in the NHL. I was there for the last ever game at the Aud on April 14, 1996. And I have so many great memories!!! Truly a must read for any Sabres or any NHL fan out there!

Great book. Still after over 11 years after it was published I still refer to this book. Great pictures and interviews. Sweet cover shot also. If you can find it (or afford it now) pick one up, you will not be disappointed. John B.
