5Nice  May 01, 2006
By Mark T. Ennes
This is a nice gazebo. It's not the cheap $50 job that breaks the first time you try to use it. Consists of three pieces: 1) the frame that folds out like a huge accordian deal, 2) the nylon (like tent fabric) top that fits snugly on with velcro straps, 3) the case. Takes maybe five minutes to set up, if you're slow. Has three height settings, and you can stake it into the ground too, if you are on grass. It has feet that enable it to be fastened to a wood deck too, if necessary. Comes with a nice black case with wheels and easy-to-carry handles. It's a little difficult to get the fabric folded up and packed into the case, though. Other than that, it's perfect. It's a buy.

5Love it!  Jan 25, 2006
By A. Lopez "Helica08"
Love it...Love it...Love it!!! Every football fan should have one. It is perfect for tailgating. This is the only site I could find it. Great price and the free shipping is a great deal. It also shipped really fast, faster then it had originally said.

4So Far, So Good  Jul 16, 2009
By Calamity Jane
It was difficult to erect the first time. The instructions are poorly written. Most of it was guesswork on our part. It might be possible for a tall, strong person to put this up by himself if he's familiar with the installation process, and if there's a tree or post to secure one leg to in order to expand the metal frame.

Working on a flat surface, one person holds one leg while the other person walks away from him, pulling the other leg and expanding the metal framework. It opens effortlessly, but at this point, the open structure feels very fragile. Care must be taken to not twist the many accordion-like joints.

The hardest part was extending the legs upwards until they snapped into place. The user must stand underneath the frame and push the leg and framework straight up. Two females worked on the same leg at the same time. It took a great deal of strength to "bench press" the legs into position.

A short person will have a hard time pulling the heavy fabric over the frame without tearing it. Height is an asset for this step. Securing the corners of the fabric to the frame was easy, but do not fasten the middle Velcro tie-down straps until the canopy is fully erected. They can get jammed in the joint, which puts too much tension on the fabric. Once that happens, it takes a lot of work to free the straps without dissembling the entire structure.

Ropes for staking are sewn into the roof. No stakes are included. Since I plan to leave this gazebo up all summer, I looped extra rope around the top of the legs, and staked everything down. It seems quite secure from the wind.

I recommend waterproofing the seams before you set it up. My gazebo leaked the first time it rained. The company doesn't claim it to be waterproof so I won't fault it for that, but it would have been nice if the instructions had advised me to seal the fabric prior to assembly.

The metal frame and fabric covering are quality material.

I will update this report at summer's end, after I've disassembled the canopy and replaced it in its bag. I'm curious to see how well this item will perform as a season-long backyard canopy.

UPDATE - Oct. 18, 2009. Taking down the canopy was much easier than erecting it. I did it alone in less than 10 minutes. Fabric looks as good as the day it went up, even though it baked daily in the summer heat all season long. I expect to get several more seasons out of this thing. No rust is evident on the frame. The frame folded up nicely and without effort, and slipped right back into its original bag. Instead of struggling to get the fabric tarp in the bag as well (I have no patience for this type of thing), I folded it and placed it in a separate plastic bin. Worked for me. :)

UPDATE #2 - June 20, 2010. Nobody around to help erect this canopy, so I attempt it myself. It CAN be done. Instead of "bench-pressing" the corner of the frame like the directions state, push up on the middle roof supports. Easy! The legs pop right into place because the leverage is different. Do NOT secure the side flaps first or it won't go up. Just make sure they are hanging on the outside of the frame when you extend it.

UPDATE - April, 2012. We just erected the canopy again. The covering is spider-webbed with weak spots where the light is showing through. We packed carefully last fall, rolling instead of folding the cover. We don't yet know if it will leak. It will take too much sealant to waterproof the entire thing. After three years of perfection, the canopy may need to be replaced.

5SD Chargers Gazebo  Jan 04, 2007
By Cynthia L. Blatnik "Cindy Blatnik"
The gazebo is very sturdy and works great in the sun and rain. Adding the team cover is a great way to show your team pride during tailgate parties! It takes a bit of practice to set up the unit but I believe that all gazebos have the same problem.

4Eye-Catching Canopy  Jan 26, 2007
By Jacksonville Sandi "Jaguar Fan"
We are very happy with the gazebo and will be excited to use this next football season.

Unfortunately, the cover came with some stitching missing and we have not been able to receive any response from Amazon after sending 4 emails. We do not want to send the entire order back for another because the cost of shipping would be more than the cost to have someone repair the stitching. We have only asked that our repair cost be covered by the company, but we can not get anyone to respond. We will never order anything through Amazon again.
