nice piece of bucs history Sep 30, 2008

Great piece of historical work. Solid accounts of the characters on the team and coach McKay. Good game accounts also add to this work. This a must for Bucs fans of all ages, but especillay those of us who where fans and did not live in the Tampa area in 1979. As a long time football historian and bucs fan I highly recommend this work.

What a treat to get such in-depth detail about each game of the 1979 season, especially for someone like me who grew up in Kentucky where we had virtually zero Bucs' coverage on TV or in the paper. I first saw the Bucs' helmet on a lunchbox in the 70's and thought "wow, that is the coolest helmet ever". That and the 1979 season is what started my lifetime obsession with the Bucs. Now if only we could have DVD or Blu-ray copies of every one of those games from 1979. I'll keep dreaming. I would have liked more pictures, but still, overall I was very pleased with this book.
