Thanks KNex for Disappointing my kid a Christmas Jan 07, 2011
By Jim D

The little guy was so excited to tear open the tub and start building.... only to find 3 tiny little bags of blocks that don't even fill the bottom ridge of the tub. The instructions that were included require a magnifying glass to read. Top that off with the fact that not all the building instructions were included in the kit... you get 5 of the promised 20... you need to download the rest. NOW, go to the web site link provided to find that it is DEAD!!!! You have to search around for 10 minutes just to find the instruction set and use up YOUR colored ink for the item that YOU PAID WHEN THE BOX SAID IT WAS INCLUDED.
Lil' Jim now thinks Santa is a cheap SOB.
Next time I'll stick with LEGOS.
THANKS KNEX!

Underwhelmed Dec 28, 2010
By Info Scout Our children love the the K'Nex components and originally had a great kit to work with. We wanted to add a lot more pieces so that they could expand their creative constructions. 350 pieces seemed like a great increase for a reasonable price. However, you'll make a large mistake if you look at the tub to get a sense of the volume of pieces you'll receive. In fact, when we first picked up the Tub, we thought it was empty. You do indeed get 350 pieces but they're tiny. The bag of parts almost fits in the palm of your hand. Not at all what we expected.

Really? Nov 12, 2011

While I'm not debating that there are 350 pieces included in this, I'm pretty sure half the cost of this product goes towards the huge tub! There was ONE baggie of parts in the tub. I'm planning on giving it as a gift to my son for Christmas, but I opened the container because it felt practically empty. I was right. Very disappointing.
(For the record, I didn't buy this from Amazon.)

There are better priced K'nex value tubs Dec 13, 2011
By Alexander Koudriashov I think most reviewers who complain about the tub being almost empty miss the point: The purpose of the big tub is not to serve as a compact shipping container for the parts as they come from the factory. The purpose of the tub is to store semi-finished projects and half-assembled fragments. Without the tub, semi-assembled fragments of the project grow legs and spread all over the house. The tub helps keep all unfinished helicopters and half-elephants in one place.
But I have to agree, there are better priced part sets, e.g. there're other K'nex tubs on the market that contain more parts for less money.
