This bat is AWESOME!! Worth the money!! May 26, 2010
By Jason A. Gregg My 8 year-old son has used this bat for 2 years. In fact, I purchased a second one in case the first ever broke because he hits so well with it. This bat is very light which increases bat speed, a key to composite bats. The "pop" in the hit is unbelievable. If the ball hits barrel, it comes off very hard and fast. He batted over .800 last season with 6 homers. He's batting .833 this season with 3 homers halfway through the season. Half the team uses his bats. And 2 others on the team have hit at least 2 homers each with this bat. Well worth the money. Just make sure you follow the directions closely on how to "break in" the bat. What I love is that it sounds like wood cracking when the ball is hit well (this is normal). Also, pay attention to the temperature usage recommendations. These bats last a long time if you care for them properly, particularly not leaving them in your car or ourside for significant temp changes.
My son's favorite bat Jul 29, 2008
By Dah-Dee I bought this for my 9-year-old son (53", 66lbs.) to use this season in Little League, hoping that the extra weight drop (-13 here vs. -11 in his old bat) would help his bat speed. Seems to have worked, fewer strikeouts and more solid contact since switching to the LCN8, which is now his favorite bat. It's not too flexy, has a pretty solid feel and sound (relative to other composite bats, which can feel and sound "soft" in comparison to aluminum alloy bats), and very good pop. Keep an eye on prices if you're interested, as Amazon will periodically drop it significantly for no good reason that I can figure out; kept it in my shopping cart for a couple of weeks and ended up with a great deal on a great bat.
