1Demarini Bat Review  Dec 27, 2011
By JMcGannon
I recently purchased this bat, and was very excited to use it. After the first day of batting practice, the lower half of the handle broke off. Im not sure if this was a manufacturer defect or what caused this to happen. I am disheartened to have this happen with my first Demerani wood composite bat and I will not be purchasing another. Also, Demerani will not cover any bats bought on auction sites such as Ebay and Amazon which is extremely annoying due to the fact that they are not standing behind their product.

4Inside fastball  Jun 01, 2010
By Jacker_2010
I recently bought the DeMarini 243 after going yard with a teammates bat. I usually like a 34" that I can choke a little but decided on the 33". After taping up (about 14" out from knob with a bit of PT) I used in a game. Went 2-3 with a solid double to right center. I got jammed pretty bad on some inside cheese but checked the bat afterwards for any splinters\cracks and didn't find anything. Usually I would have gotten sawed off but at initial glance the DeMarini appeared fine. Next week I'm hitting BP and can't figure out whats wrong as my swing was on and I was squaring the ball. I should have hit several out (as the wind was blowing) but I couldn't figure out why all of a sudden I had warning track power. I did a closer examination of the bat and found that it had a crack near the factory tape that went about 75% around the handle. It was a very small, almost hairline crack. I called Demarini, as they offer a no questions asked 90 day replacement warranty, got the RA number and returned the bat. They said I should have the new bat in 7-10 days after receipt. Also, I would offer that if you swing a 33 you may consider going with a 34 as the bat feels that light. Enjoy!

4Great wooden bat, very durable. But BE CAREFUL. Read below  May 27, 2010

I have played a lot of baseball and this bat is really a step-up from the traditional wooden bat. If you hit it solid it feels nice and it looks like it has a little more pop (don't expect too much). I really like how this bat flexes a little bit, similar to aluminum composite bats. This is a great bat overall the only reason I give it 4 stars is because the label, that is usually printed in the "weak part" of the bat and it is supossed to face you or face down, is actually printed in the strong part of the bat (where the wood sections connect with each other). At first I did not notice because the barrell is painted completely. Once I hit a couple of balls I could see I was hitting it in the "weak spot".

This is crucial if you want your bat to last. Make sure you are hitting the way you are supossed to hit with a wooden bat. If you don't know what I'm talking about do a little research online.
